Product Round Up: Detanglers

My hair has a mind of its own. In order to be able to properly take care of it, a detangler is essential in my routine. I have tried a lot of different ones recently, so I thought I'd tell you my thoughts on each one.

Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Silkening Detangler: This was okay, I bought it because it is geared for people with curly hair and as you know from previous photos, my hair is super curly. I thought this was relatively effective, but the spray wasn't very good and just spritzed in a small area at a time. I felt like I had to use a lot for it to work but once I sprayed for about a full minute, it helped.

Aussie Hair Insurance Leave In Conditioner: While not strictly marketed as a detangled, I usually find that leave in conditioners and detanglers often serve the same purpose. However, I didn't feel like it was giving me much moisture or detangling. I also wasn't a fan of the smell, it was a very strong fake coconut scent that I did not respond well to. I used it up, but didn't really enjoy it. This will not be repurchased by me. I think it would work better for someone with fine hair.

It's a 10 Miracle Leave In (regular and keratin): These are both quite good, though overpriced in my opinion. I do really like them though, and I've found I can just use these in my hair when I want to brush it out and keeps it nice and smooth. The product is more like a thick leave in conditioner in a spray bottle so it's easier to distribute. One downside was the design, I find that when I get to the bottom it's really difficult to get the product out of the spray nozzle which is a bit irritating. I didn't find much of a difference between the regular version and the keratin version, but I do have to say that this is a favorite of my hairdresser's and she has never steered me wrong. If these were cheaper, I would probably be more committed to them (you can get them discounted at Nordstrom Rack sometimes though, but I'd rather support my hairdresser as she is part of a local business).

Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Leave In Conditioner: This is my favorite one by far. It is reasonably priced (though not the cheapest out there), smells delicious, and detangles fabulously. The design is great, the spray is a generous mist that doesn't clump in one area and the product itself is a liquid that isn't too thick. I cannot say enough positive things about this detangler, you have to try it if you are looking for a new one.

What is your favorite detangling product?
