So it's no secret that I really love nail polish (heck, maybe this blog should be called Pocket Sized Polish...), and I don't often use up a polish or hang onto one for so long that I need a new one. Here are five that I've repurchased.
Essie After School Boy Blazer: This came out in the Fall 2013 Essie collection and it is a blackened navy. I freaking love this color. I adore really dark nails, but sometimes black can be a little boring. This is a nice change from that. I used up a whole bottle (well, as much as I could before it dried up with about 1/4 of the polish left that I could no longer get out), and was bummed because it was limited edition, but then I spotted it in Walgreen's. I don't know what the deal with this is, but they have displays of colors that have come out in old collections "exclusively" at Walgreen's, so I snapped this one up because I seriously needed it in my life again.
Nails Inc Baker Street: Ah, my first ViviannaDoesMakeup influenced purchase! When I started reading her blog two years ago (hard to believe it's been that long), this was something she raved about. The fact that I had it for two years was pretty impressive, and it simply got to the point where I couldn't get the polish out of the bottle anymore. It's a bold blue color, and every time I wear it someone asks me if I'm wearing gel nails. It's gorgeous.
Nails Inc Porchester Square: Oh look, another Anna inspired purchase. Typical. Well this is a lovely neutral gray polish that is so easy to apply. I find that gray toned polishes can be kind of streaky and tricky, but this one is not. Again with this, I had it for about two years and it just gave up on my. This is the color I wear when I want to paint my nails but maybe have an interview (ok, that only happened once...) or I'm doing something a little more formal that doesn't allow bright blue tips.
Essie Lilacism: My first bottle of this exploded in my suitcase when I came back from Amsterdam last summer. Don't worry, I was smart and put it in a baggie so it only got on other nail polish bottles. I didn't buy another one right away because I had picked up some bottles while abroad and wanted to enjoy those, but after a while I found myself missing this polish. It's a very flattering tone of lavender, and I think they may have improved the formulation since my first bottle because it goes on so easily in two coats. I always get compliments when I wear this one, and this is my favorite color in a nail polish.
Essie Mint Candy Apple: Another exploding polish, but this one exploded when I ordered it the first time. It wasn't super bad, so I figured it was okay and used the polish anyway. It was gloopy and never cooperated with me, and this was before MCA was available in drugstores so I held onto it. Once they brought this color out in a more widely available format, I ditched the old one and I'm so glad I did. I was worried that the color was just messy, but it's not. This color is a lot more blue than green, and it's probably one of my favorite polishes that I've ever owned.
Any polishes you loved so much that you had to repurchase?
