Time for a slightly belated monthly favorites, featuring a few beauty products plus some TV and YouTube!
MAC Patisserie
My first MAC purchase! I'm so glad I picked up this lipstick. It's a perfect nude color that I think would flatter all skin tones. It's one of those products that looks a little different on everybody, so I suggest swatching it for yourself along with looking up photos online.
Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara
I recently threw away a bunch of mascaras, so this was one I picked up to try. I had tried a different Covergirl mascara that was absolutely impossible to remove, but this one comes off with waterproof makeup remover, plus it separates my lashes and gives insane volume. Also, it totally doesn't clump, as the name would suggest.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
Probably the perfect liquid eyeliner. Instead of a typical felt tip, this features a pen created from little brush hairs. That makes this liner super easy to apply, plus it is really black and doesn't smudge at all. Need I say more?
LORAC Pro Palette
Now, I have a Naked palette, but the lack of matte shades was bugging me so much, and now that this is in my life, I'm pretty sure I will never need to buy another palette again. I even used these shadows on my mom and she really liked them! I've been wearing this palette pretty much every day, and each shade is beautiful. I might even recommend this over the Naked palettes, purely for the balance of matte and shimmer.
ViviannaDoesVlogging
We all know I love Anna's blog and beauty videos, but this month I've really been digging her weekly vlogs. I really like that she does a weekly format as opposed to a daily one, because sometimes that can be a bit tedious, but Anna always strikes the right balance of everyday fun and exciting outings.
Bones
Ok, so I just started watching this show, and I am obsessed. I'm going through this total crime show phase (i.e. Castle, Elementary, etc.) and adding this into the rotation was the best decision. It's become my background noise while cleaning, unpacking my apartment, and painting my nails, and I'm actually kind of glad there are so many seasons to catch up on because it will last me a while.
What were you loving in August?
